Today is my rest day from yesterday’s bike ride.  I got the idea for a rest day from watching the third stage of the Giro d’ Italia with Richard yesterday.  More specifically, I was watching the race while he napped on the sofa.  Rest day’s are good for the body and soul and I am sure I will feel better.

We had a lot of rain last night – complete with thunder and lightning.  I get a bit nervous with all of that going on.  Having bed covers to crawl under is really great.  We are in a drought here in Austin.  Last Spring and summer were awful.  This year not so bad.  I really do not like to complain about rain even though it washes away the p mail – so I am not complaining about the rain but only about the thunder and lightning.

Listening to the verbal communication at our house, I think we will be relocating to Colorado soon.  I really enjoy being there in the summer.  Richard takes me hiking with him.  He hikes, I ride in the backpack and make sure he takes the correct trail.  I also make suggestions about what subjects to photograph.

Ahhh, Rest day!
